Yes, you read correctly, I did say Christmas. While we may still be in November, Christmas is right around the corner. With Christmas comes loads of great community events for people who live in Bulimba property. Some events of note are:
Lighting of the Brisbane City Christmas Tree
Head to King George Square for the annual lighting of the big Brisbane Christmas tree. Starting at 6:30 pm on 28 November, there will be Christmas carols and other family-friendly entertainment. It culminates with the lighting of one of the Southern Hemisphere’s largest solar Christmas trees.
Myers Christmas Parade and Pantomime
The ever-popular parade makes its return to the city on 12 December and for the following nine days at 6:30 pm at the Queen Street Mall. Take in the sights of over 200 performers, including dancers from the Queensland Ballet and other talented groups.
Christmas Fireworks Spectacular
Get bang for no buck with the fireworks over the Brisbane River. At 8:15 pm on 17, 19, 20 and 21 December, fireworks will light up the sky. Clem Jones Promenade is the ideal spot to bring the whole family for this bright display.
