A new survey completed by RP Data and Nine Rewards shows that the majority of Australians think that now is a good time to buy property. For September, 66 per cent of people surveyed thought that now is a good time to buy property. This is down from the previous quarter's 71 per cent.
Those polled were especially optimistic about purchasing property in Bulimba and Brisbane. Seventy-three per cent of people surveyed living in Brisbane thought that now was the right time to buy. The area ranked fifth on the list of best places to purchase a home, with non-capital areas of South Australia, Queensland and Western Australia coming in slightly higher. One hundred per cent of those polled thought now was a good time to put in an offer in Tasmania.
In terms of the most important factors when purchasing a property, personal finances were the overwhelming top consideration, named by 47 per cent of respondents. Prospects for capital growth the next highest concern, listed by 20 per cent. Interest rates were a factor for 15 per cent while job security mattered most to 12 per cent.
With the market clearly a good one for buyers, there's never been a better time to contact your local Bulimba agent.
