Do you own or live in Bulimba real estate? Then you might be interested in having a say on the city's future through the Draft Brisbane City Centre Master Plan.
This has been developed to ensure Brisbane capitalises on its vast transformative and economic potential. Brisbane's economy is expected to double in the next 20 years, and demand for retail, residential, office and hotel space in the central city is predicted to equate to 50 new buildings.
The plan aims to make Brisbane an 'open city' through a framework of strategies, projects and initiatives. These have been grouped together into 10 city-making moves, including the following:
City bridges
Transit city
A river lifestyle
Distinctive architecture
A creative economy
City boulevards
Grand arrivals
A green spine
The inner-city stitch
24/7 event city
The plan will affect all Brisbane residents, including owners of Morningside real estate, so make sure you contribute to the discussion before October 25.
If you want to have your say on the draft plan, there are many ways you can voice your opinion. You can post to Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram or Pinterest, using the #bneccmp hashtag.
Alternatively, you may wish to write to the City Centre Master Plan's address, or phone the council directly.
