Getting active in Bulimba

One of the many benefits of owning Hawthorne or Bulimba real estate is living on the riverfront. This means easy access to many water and waterfront activities. In fact, Brisbane City Council offers many free programmes that will help you to increase your fitness and see a bit more of your local area.

Stand up paddle boarding is one of the many water-based activities on offer from the Active Parks programme and is a sure way to enjoy a morning out on the Brisbane River.

Other activities offered by the Council initiative include aqua classes, cycling, fishing and pilates. There are also other sports and recreation programs to cater to every part of the community.

There is an activity for every fitness level, while those with heavy time constraints are sure to find something that fits into their busy schedule. Although not all activities are free, the cost is kept to a minimum, with some gear provided, depending on your programme of choice.

If you're looking for a way to fulfil your 'get fit' New Year's resolution or would just like to see a bit more of your local area, one of the activities available from the council organisation will provide the perfect excuse to get out there and get active in the new year.
