Get Active in Bulimba this Summer

If you live near Bulimba real estate, consider taking advantage of the Brisbane City Council's Active Parks program.

Brisbane has more than 50 parks that locals can utilise – whether for a family stroll or more high energy pursuits. This is just one of the reasons that makes it an attractive area to live and an ideal place for growing families.

The Active Parks program is a council initiative that plays to all ability levels.

A popular activity for those living in Brisbane involves two wheels and a bit of stamina.

Coming up in early December is the chance to get involved in mountain biking. Sessions held at the Gap Creek Reserve Picnic Area are ideal for anyone over the age of 12 with a moderate level of fitness and geared bike experience. Mountain bikes and helmets are part of the package.

The Kedron Brook ride, Christmas creeks and parklands trail ride and the more family friendly beach cruiser ride are just some of the great activities on offer later in the month and early 2014.

These rides vary in difficulty, from easy pedalling through to a quick pace. Check before you sign up and get ready to feel the wind in your hair.

Meta description: If you have Bulimba or Hawthorne real estate, make sure you utilise some of the great biking sessions available this summer.
