If like many people you've got your sights set on houses for sale in Bulimba, it's more than likely detached properties will feature on your wish list.
They provide plenty of space, making this type of property an ideal choice if you're planning on starting a family or simply want a home you can spread out into.
Detached properties aren't in short supply at the moment either, as data from the Housing Industry Association (HIA) shows builders are constructing these homes all over Queensland.
During the three months to April, approvals for detached homes increased 15 per cent compared to the same time last year, so would-be buyers will find no shortage of potential places to live.
Multi-unit approvals, on the other hand, have grown four per cent compared to the same period of 2013.
"The growth in detached home building is also widespread across the state with the exception of Mackay and Rockhampton, where activity peaked earlier with the resources sector investment," commented the HIA's executive director in Queensland Warwick Temby.
He noted that not only does a rise in construction activity mean homebuyers have greater choice, but it also brings advantages to the state's economy.
