If you live in Morningside real estate and are planning your holiday activities, there are plenty of Christmas events in the community for you to get involved in.
Celebrate tradition on November 29 by heading to King George Square for the official lighting of the Christmas tree. It's Australia's largest solar powered tree and will be lit by Lord Mayor Graham Quirk.
The kids will be delighted with performances from special guests and a magical visit from Santa himself. Settle in for some carols and free family fun.
On December 14 gather the little ones and head to Riverstage for Brisbane's premier Christmas event, the IGA Lord Mayor's Christmas Carols. Jack Vidgen, Paulini and Mark Lowndes are just a few of the special guests who will light up the stage and get the whole crowd singing along to our most beloved Christmas carols.
The event starts at 5:30 p.m. and finishes up at 9 p.m., and guests are advised to come early to avoid disappointment.
Both the tree lighting and carols are free, making them the perfect start to your festive season.
