The Brisbane City Council has announced a new River's Edge Strategy which is set to improve access and activity for the Brisbane River.
Owners and residents of Bulimba real estate will be pleased to learn how the strategy will benefit them, as the project stretches along to the include the suburb.
The strategy will develop over the next 10 years, and aims to enhance the recreational and economic development opportunities afforded by the river. A range of projects have been proposed to encourage people to make better use of the river, ranging from promoting river activities to better movement on and around the river.
A distinctive river brand will be further established and promoted within the strategy through RiverRest and RiverStop locations, along with RiverLoops and RiverLink. This is likely to encourage more activity in and around the region, which could potentially increase the demand for houses for sale in Bulimba.
Among the proposed projects are new riverside eating and drinking precincts, community art spaces, a public swimming pool and themed feature lighting. New and improved running, walking and cycling trails are also on the cards for the area.
