Bulimba Residents Invited to ’80s-Themed Party

By Adrienne McTavish

A sense of community spirit is one of the major attractions for people who are interested in purchasing their next home – and one upcoming event in Brisbane could boost the appeal of Bulimba real estate.

On April 28, the city of Brisbane will host a 1980s-themed picnic in honour of the 25th anniversary of World Expo '88 – and residents from across the city are invited to attend.

The retro Picnic in the Park will be attended by Brisbane lord mayor Graham Quirk, as well as state premier Campbell Newman, and will feature plenty of entertainment – including a performance from '80s groups Pseudo Echo and Mental as Anything.

1980s tribute band Retromatic will also make an appearance, and there will be plenty of attractions to keep the little ones entertained too – look out for a free performance from Flipside Circus, as well as balloons, face painting and amusement rides.

Of course, if the infectious community spirit has inspired you to take a closer look at property for sale in Bulimba, the team at Ray White Bulimba should be your first port of call.

We can assist you with all your real estate needs – and whether you are looking to buy or rent, our team can help you settle in to your perfect Bulimba property in no time. Contact our team today for more information.
