Brisbane City Council Encourages Pet Microchipping

One of the reasons why Bulimba real estate is so popular with Brisbane residents is that it is located within pet-friendly proximity to plenty of great parks and riverfront pathways.

If you have recently added a four-legged friend to your Bulimba home, it is important to be aware of Brisbane City Council’s requirement that all cats and dogs be microchipped when they are sold, given away or have reached the age of 12 weeks.

Luckily, the city has organised a number of Pet Microchipping Days over the coming weekends so that you can fulfil these requirements and register your cat or dog with the National Pet Register for a reduced fee.

Over the coming weeks, Carindale Recreation Reserve will play host to a microchipping event on May 3, followed by another microchipping day at Holmead Road Park on Sunday May 4.

If you are seeking pet-friendly property in one of Brisbane’s most beautiful riverfront communities, contact the team at Ray White Bulimba. In addition to our comprehensive listings of houses for sale in Bulimba, we can also help you through the process of moving with your pet.
