Brisbane building its reputation as a fun city

One of the great things about living near a big city is the entertainment options which are right on your doorstep, so the recent announcement of developers for Queens Wharf will be welcomed by many inner-city residents.

The redevelopment is set to bring big changes to downtown Brisbane with a new casino, shopping, restaurant and office spaces. These new developments will be spread over the area between George St and the Brisbane River.

There are currently four companies competing for the contract to lead this development, with the project starting in 2017.

One of the most exciting features for residents in Bulimba and Hawthorne will be the incorporation of a new train and bus station to connect the wharf development with the southern bank of the Brisbane river. As a result, your morning commute should be getting a lot quicker and more enjoyable thanks to improved capabilities.

With these new developments, Brisbane residents will soon enjoy more world-class entertainment within the city, making a night out far more exciting. The development should also benefit owners of Bulimba and Hawthorne, as these suburbs remain popular for their ease of access to the city and laid back lifestyle.
