If you’ve only recently bought Bulimba, Hawthorne or Morningside real estate you may not be aware of the many great activities along Brisbane’s riverfront at this time of year.
For those looking to bring in the New Year at a family-friendly event that is close to home, the fireworks at Southbank are sure to fit the bill.
Only about a quarter of an hour away, Southbank provides a wealth of entertainment and dining options if you’d like to make a day of it. Public transport is the easiest way to get around on this busy night, and the safest if you’re having a a glass or two of champagne when the midnight hour strikes.
There are free TransLink services from 9 PM on 31 December until 5:30 the next morning. Don’t worry though, if you have little ones, you won’t have to be out that late. While there are fireworks at midnight, there is also an 8:30 PM show for the kids.
The Southbank Parklands will have security, meaning a safe and worry-free night for all. Wristbands are also provided for children upon entry, which makes it easy for security to help lost children find their parents if they should get separated.
Overall, a safe and fun night for all, the Southbank fireworks should be a great way to see in your first New Year as a Bulimba resident.
