Artistic Expression at Queensland’s Cultural Centre

By Adrienne McTavish

Brisbane is a vibrant, lively city made up of many different creeds, colours, sights and sounds, making houses for sale in Bulimba prime real estate for anyone looking to be part of a culturally rich and diverse neighbourhood.

The Queensland Cultural Centre is located on the South Bank in Brisbane and is widely considered to be the cultural hub of the state capital. Only 15 minutes from the suburb of Bulimba, the centre is home to a wealth of cultural collections.

The Queensland Art Gallery is part of the centre and remains the nation's leading art museum. The gallery holds many premier pieces of artwork, both international and local, including an original Picasso piece, 'Le Belle Hollandaise'.

Established in 1895, the gallery saw a modern extension added in 2006,which houses artworks from the 20th and 21st century, continuing to provide cultural insight through art and expression.

A series of museums exist within the cultural centre as well. Queensland Museum and Sciencentre are located in the heart of the precinct and connect visitors with Queensland's people – past, present and future.

If you need help moving to Bulimba and into the cultural hub of Queensland's capital city, the professionals at Ray White Bulimba are more than happy to advise you on the home buying process.
